The Festival of History is English Heritage's annual multi-period event, covering from the Romans to WWII. You will find us filling in a slot in the late seventeenth century for them.

The event has been held at a number of locations in the past, including kirby Hall and the national Argiculture Centre, Stoneleigh. The location map here only shows the current loaction at Kelmarsh hall, but the other sites can be located on our map of events.

As a field event, we have either done an ambigue
in the open or under shade, or we have utilised our marquee as a room in a building.

To date, our events have included gentry taking in a festival, the Hanbury's of Kelmarsh Hall, garden design, ladies taking tea in the parlour, gents in a London Coffee House and Samuel Pepys at his Uncle's funeral. These cover the range 1660s to 1690s.
