"Woburn through the Ages" is a multi-period field event organised by Event Plan. For the late seventeenth century, they wanted to show a connection with the Rye House Plot. A possible plot to assasinate the King and his brother, or a well organised set-up to put some of the King's enemies out of action.

Although the failed attempt was set for April, it didn't get exposed till June, when its ring leaders were hunted down. We portrayed a London Coffee House throughout the day and at set times, with a couple of extra characters from the 17C Society, we replayed a version where the soliders come to find Lord Russell in the Coffee House, on the day that the London Gazette reported the conspiracy.
